Ben Nevis is the highest point in the UK and  our  challenge is to reach the summit, which stands at a height of 1,343m (4,409 feet) above sea level.  The path we take starts at the Glen Nevis Visitor centre and zig zags up through tough terrain which, although technically easy, is a strenuous challenge requiring stamina and  determination. At the summit (weather permitting!) you will be rewarded with spectacular views of the Scottish Highlands and you will get an  overwhelming sense of the remoteness and the unspoilt environment.  The trek is fully guided by our experienced Mountain  Leader.

Treks where the terrain could be steep and fitness is essential at this level. Such treks will usually be between 7-10hrs in duration and may involve ascents between 900—1500m. To ensure you are fit enough to undertake the trek consider building up your fitness levels by walking in your area with your walking boots, to help break in your boots as well as building up your stamina. If you can include hill walks then that would be ideal.

Chance to summarise lessons learned from the trip and transfers to airport or station onwards to home.

Safety Considerations:
Before you start your walk up Ben Nevis, make sure you are properly prepared. The most important item is proper footwear.  Trainers are not suitable footwear for this path as it can become very slippery when wet.
The temperature at the summit is just below freezing on average, even in Summer, and in even in May/June there can be snow at the summit, so make sure you take warm  clothing with you.  A full kit list will be provided upon booking onto the trek.
