Join us on the Annapurna Sanctuary trek which offers some of the most magnificent trekking Nepal has to offer. Mt. Annapurna is the tenth highest peak in the world and this trek takes you right up into it’s base, where you will stand in awe of the 8000m+ giant. The route takes you through rhododendron forests and small Gurung villages, where you can see and experience the traditional mountain village ways of life.

It winds up along a pristine river where there are spectacular waterfalls waiting around every corner. Throughout the trek you can catch astounding views of the surrounding peaks including the sacred mountain Macchaputre (Fishtail), which changes shape and colour, as you get closer to the base camp. It is definitely worth getting up for the sunrise on this trek, as it is the best time to see the magical Himalayas and take photos.

This trek takes you to an altitude of 4130 metres and can be approached with a flexible itinerary to ensure your comfort and safety. You also have the option of trekking to the famous viewpoint of Poon Hill, which is reached from Ghorepani.

Please note this trek is classed as MODERATE.

The Moderate treks begin to present more of a challenge to first time trekkers and are tougher than easy treks .So these treks are suitable for any walker looking for something a little more challenging and energetic. Most people who enjoy a weekend in the hills or mountains at home are capable of undertaking a trek at this level: you need to be in good health and reasonably fit, and you will almost certainly be taking regular exercise. A trek could be graded Moderate either as a fairly easy medium-duration walk, or as a harder, shorter walk. Walking at higher altitude and the occasional longer or more difficult day may be involved, but generally conditions underfoot will be fair. A walking day would normally be between 5 to 8 hours long and no experience is necessary
